I am a former corporate executive who has become an author and spiritual mentor (guru). After a deep dive into spirituality, I discovered my purpose—to help people invoke their inner divine.
For those who know me personally, I am Uma Ramachandran. Since becoming an author, I have extensively used my spiritual name (and pen name), Sri Devi Om.
Before Wedding
2001—Graduated from the University of Madras with a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science.
2001—Application Support & Academic Counselor at the National Institute of Information Technology (NIIT) in Chennai, India.
2001—My family migrated to Princeton, New Jersey, United States.
2002-05—Application Developer (final position) at Amersham Health, which GE Healthcare acquired.
After Wedding
2004—I moved in with my husband, who lived in Wichita, Kansas. I started working remotely.
2005—Software Programmer / Analyst at CCH Incorporated, a Wolters Kluwer company.
2005-06—Moved to San Jose, California. Software Development & Release Manager at Resolution Health, which Wellpoint acquired.
2007-11—Director of Data Analytics & Informatics (final position) at Santa Clara Family Health Plan in Campbell, California.
2011—Quit my job to rebuild my messy life.
Author & Spiritual Mentor
2011—Spiritual Practitioner pursuing Zen and Sri Vidya (Sanatana Dharma). Actively mentored by my friend Om Swami for seven years – November 2012 to November 2019.
2012-2016—Served Swami, my friend-mentor, by coordinating projects, maintaining his websites, and creating graphic design content.
2018—Blogger since September 2018. Authored my first book in February 2023.
