Rope Walking In A City

If we ponder it, our Life often feels like a delicate balancing act in an ever-changing terrain. Most of us, mainly in happening cities, have become experts in managing our responsibilities, aspirations, and relationships, much as tightrope walkers rely on an outstanding balance to navigate their path. Work, family, worldly pursuits, and leisure compete for our limited resources: time, energy, and attention.

In between all this, there’s one thing that loses our focus: our well-being. Physical, intellectual, and emotional well-being are essential to lead a sane life in this fast-paced world. That’s something all self-help promoters speak about unwaveringly.

Nevertheless, one more aspect of personal development misses even many intelligent brains — the need for spiritual fulfillment.

Historically, cultures and philosophies worldwide have emphasized the importance of this need and suggested moderation as a path to a fulfilled life. Ancient wisdom, from Eastern philosophies like Hinduism, Buddhism, and Taoism to Western teachings in Greek philosophy, highlights the significance of avoiding extremes and embracing balance.

However, moderation remains an alien concept, and we stay perpetually tangled in the web of stress, anxiety, and burnout if we don’t learn to tap the tremendous spiritual energy latent in us. It is almost a no-brainer that an inert or restless mind can never find peace or rest, a pivotal requirement for sustained well-being.

Pursue a spiritually enriched life. Because all worldly achievements pale compared to what you experience when you carry a peaceful and joyful mind.

Love,
Sri Devi Om
