After offering obeisance to Ganesha, Ishta, and Gayatri Devi, I now honor my “guru” by sharing an inexplicable occurrence.
Recently, someone asked me — Who is your guru? And what is your spiritual lineage?
I replied — My guru is Divine Energy, which resides in me. I belong to the lineage of sages who have made the wisdom of Sanatana Dharma (SD) open for all.
How on Earth?
As expected, my response evoked a smirk and a suspicious look. That person probably wondered — How on earth did Divine Energy help her?
Yes, I know! A decade ago, if someone had said Divine Energy could be your guru, I would have recommended them to an excellent psychiatrist.
Today, this former agnostic says: Divine Energy is my guru. And no, I haven’t gone cuckoo and don’t need a mental health check-up.
The Human Support
Throughout my life, I’ve learned from many people — my parents, teachers, friends, etc. I also profoundly respected Shirdi Sai Baba, Swami Vivekananda, and my father’s guru Sri Sathya Sai Baba.
Much later, Swami Krishnathmananda of Chinmaya Mission patiently answered my questions and guided my first Gayatri Sadhana.
Furthermore, the roles played by my husband and monk-friend Om Swami need a standing ovation. While my hubby’s unconditional support pulled me up from the dumps of depression, Swami inspired me to pursue my spiritual transformation seriously.
Of course, the significance of my son’s presence cannot be underestimated. Trying to be a responsible mother motivated me when I felt down and out.
My Miraculous Dreams
Even though so many beautiful people supported me, I don’t consider any of them my guru. Instead, I refer to Divine Energy as my guru, and there’s a solid reason for it.
When I restarted my spiritual pursuit as an adult, I often had dreams of the divine. These weren’t random dreams but step-by-step directions.
Initially, I was shocked because my dreams revealed information I had never read or known.
Curious and confused, I began to follow the path revealed in my dreams. To my surprise, these meticulously took me ahead in my spiritual journey. I even got mantras at the right juncture.
Even though I realized something was helping me, I did not understand how such a thing was possible. It was nothing short of a miracle.
Divine Energy is True!
Scientists say global warming is the truth, and we believe them. Then, a different group of researchers present that global warming is untrue. We get confused, but we never dismiss science as pointless.
Yet, when it comes to the divine, we never give the benefit of the doubt. We start with skepticism and discard spiritual experiences as meaningless or improbable. If you’re one of those, let me implore you:
Have faith and allow Divine Energy into your life. The more you believe, the more you will see the presence.
Soon, when your life becomes a miracle, you will have no more questions left.
