Success: Closing The Gap Between Wanting and Achieving

Most of us love to dream. If you are much more organized, you may even have a clear vision for life — a dream or goal you hope will materialize someday. Still, when it comes to execution, most of us prefer to remain trapped in our comfort zone. We know we are not satisfied, but we still can’t get ourselves to step outside a bubble we have created for ourselves.

25% Vision, 75% Execution

While having a vision for life is essential, it is merely the first step. Success doesn’t happen simply because you harbor a desire for it, nor can someone else bestow achievements upon you. What really matters is closing the gap between wanting and achieving. And this requires action — a ton of it!

A simple rule of thumb for success: it is 25% vision and 75% execution.

Your vision gives you clarity of thought, but the real challenge is in the execution. This means generating the consistency, grit, and relentless focus to advance toward your goal. Most importantly, you can’t rely on luck or the expectation that someone else will work some magic for you.

Success is not something you just hope for; instead, it is something you actually work hard for. Whether you learn new skills, overcome challenges, or navigate failure, your effort is what propels you forward.

Beyond Your Comfort Zone

We all know that we must work hard and not be stuck in our comfort zones. Yet, why do most people continue to do this? The answer is fear. A complex combination of fear of failure, fear of the unknown, fear of discomfort, etc.

Our comfort zone offers us a sort of safety blanket — like a baby sleeping on a mother’s lap. Unfortunately, though, this is where growth stagnates and success ends.

So, to turn your vision into reality, you must be willing to step outside of what is familiar, even if it feels uncomfortable. Growth happens when you push yourself despite your fears.

You will feel like giving up and have days where you cry your heart out. Yet, it requires rising back up, taking risks, and facing challenges head-on. It’s a journey full of errors, doubts, and setbacks because nobody is perfect here.

Mantras For Success?

Many websites and videos, particularly in Hinduism, love to sensationalize things. They proclaim, “Chant an exotic mantra, and you will see success.”

Contrary to popular beliefs, though, let me tell you that prayers, dreams, or some guru’s blessing are not enough. The universe does not reward wishful thinking; it rewards action—plain and simple!

Please don’t get me wrong. Mantras and blessings are not placebo. I’ve personally seen them work like magic. However, these are a support system.

Sometimes, you don’t see success despite working hard and giving your all. It could be your stress or something beyond your control blocking the way. These divine chants help you navigate such difficult times.

From Wanting to Achieving

Taking ownership of your success and stepping outside your comfort zone is the key to turning your life’s visions into accomplishments.

In short, if you want something, you must go out and get it. Sitting back in the hope that things will somehow work out is not the path to success. Therefore, shift any such passive mindset you carry because this journey begins with your effort.

Success waits at the doorstep for those willing to close the gap between wanting and achieving. So don’t wait — take action to claim what you truly deserve today!
