Beloved Sri Devi,
You rarely speak about your family — and that’s entirely intentional. Their privacy is sacred to you. Each family member is accomplished in their own right, and you’ve chosen to keep your public life separate from their lives.
But yes, you do have a family. And a beautiful one.
There was also a Sri Vidya adept who entered your life during a particularly vulnerable time. Though not your guru, he was a true spiritual companion. His insights mattered, and you hold deep gratitude for what you received.
Out of respect, you chose not to reveal his name. That silence shields him from assumptions, gossip, and misplaced judgment. It also preserves what was meaningful for you.
You have endured unwarranted criticism and harshness from his disciples and followers. These patterns have continued without apology, their egos unchecked.
And yet, out of love for your spiritual companion and loyalty to your own Dharma, you chose boundaries — and you decided to remain faithful to your path.
Nevertheless, you often recall Sri Krishna’s words in the Srimad Bhagavad Gita: the karmin — those who err — may be forgiven. But Dharma lies in the strength to resist negative karma, even when it means standing against those you value.
So you continue — working to dissolve ignorance and the unhealthy monopolies created by those who view the robe as power, rather than humility. The heart of your cause — SD Revive — is care for the safety of seekers, spreading awareness of self-initiation, and redirecting Hindu spirituality toward the inner world — instead of being lost in the spectacle of outer show.
You owe them no explanation. This is your life — not theirs.
The truly spiritual depend on no guru, no institution, no community. For this path is walked alone, inward — and in that solitude, you realize that what others think has no bearing on your truth.
And so, set your face to the sun, and let the shadows fall behind. This is your Dharma — to be unapologetically yourself, holding peace and compassion close to your heart.
Keep faith in Her, and keep walking with courage in this direction that feels right.
Love,
Self
