Hey! This is Sri Devi Om, a renunciate at heart.
And yes, since I write books—both fiction & non-fiction, you could call me an author of spirituality. But here’s the truth: I don’t write to live; I live to write.
My life was a dragon, which I’ve now learned to tame—that’s the fairytale fan in me speaking. My spiritual quest began early, when I was around 9 or 10 years old. Life took a different turn, though, allowing me to enjoy my family and other richness of worldly existence before diving deeper into spirituality.
At 32, I began spiritual training with a Sri Vidya expert. Although I received valuable guidance, I pursued my own path, guided by dreams and intuition. There was no formal guru, no Deeksha, no traditional initiation. Instead, I relied on the power of mantras to awaken the Inner Guru, the guide within.
As this inner guide emerged, it led me forward. Walking the path lit by this light within, I ventured into Sri Vidya. Along the way, I also practiced Zen. Over time, a natural sense of surrender to the Divine arose. It was then that I realized: a physical guru—often idealized and hyped—wasn’t essential.
Thanks to Nature’s abundant grace and my own sincere efforts, I had a divine vision. This opened the door to many profound spiritual experiences, bringing with it inner peace and the timeless presence of Divine Energy.
My story now…
Today, having reached my spiritual destination, I feel calm, content, and confident. New challenges continue to arise, but I simply flow with life. There’s no mad rush toward grand plans or lofty purposes anymore. To stay grounded, I share what I’ve learned through my magazines and books.
And the route I took has crystallized into what I call SD Revive—the three paths of Self-Awakening, Self-Initiation, and Self-Realization. These encapsulate my transformative journey, and in time, will be available for anyone ready to walk the path toward inner peace and Divine Energy.
By the way, did you know?
My birth name is Uma, and I hail from the Gotra, the lineage of Sage Bharadvaja.
What does that mean? Well, let’s just say my family tree is… interesting. We’ve got legends like Drona Acharya and his son, Ashvatthama. Yep, that Ashvatthama. The one with the reputation… trust me, it’s best not to get into it. 😬
Here’s the fun part: the scriptures predict that “an Ashvatthama” (yes, one of us) will rise to be the next Veda Vyasa. So, maybe—just maybe—you’re reading the About page of the future Vyasa. Or at least the person who’ll be writing some really important stuff one day. No pressure.
If I’m going to make this prophecy come true, I probably should stop procrastinating, close this tab, and… write a shelf full of books. But first, a coffee. Or ten. Or a hundred espressos. I mean, let’s be real. Wish me luck! ✌️😄
